Microsoft have just announced that they have made changes to the Xbox Live code of conduct. The reason being that they have seen it fit to allow people to more easily express their diversity . You may remember that on Xbox Live, words such as Gay, Lesbian etc were not allowed to be used on the service, which led to a ton of complaints from homosexual gamers around the globe. The list of changes has been posted up on Xbox.com, and they go a little something like this.
You may use the following terms to express your relationship orientation in your profile or Gamertag: - Lesbian
- Gay
- Bi
- Transgender
- Straight
Other terms regarding relationship orientation are not allowed. In addition you may not use these terms or any other terms regarding relationship orientation to insult, harass, or any other pejorative use against other users.
A good move by Microsoft, who seem to be trying pretty hard to get on their customers’ good side lately. So, when are they going to allow the word Linux to be used. I remember it used to be blocked before and MS seem to be sour about it. I can’t believe, in a society so progressive around the world, that sexual orientation has been an issue to gamers around the globe even today…(macho probably scared of his arse being handed to him by a fairy….no pun intended)… anyhow, as a gamer who happens to be gay, YOU ROCK MS!!

Sad really to see MS only fix the problem 2 years down the line. All ready humiliating 30%+/- of their customers, when they weren’t afraid to say for what team they were screaming for.
At least they fixed it i guess… good for them, now… BRING LIVE TO SA dammit!!!!!
